The Walker School

WALKER'S KINDERGARTEN classes include children who are five and six years old.  There are no more than 21 students in each of the three classes with two teachers...one lead and one assistant in each class.  Students attend special area classes in our self-contained building in the subjects of Spanish, Music (two performances each year), Physical Education (an annual field day), Art, Science, Computer, and Library.  The strong academic curriculum has a multi-sensory, child-centered approach where children are valued for their individuality.  Curriculum also includes character education and technology designed to build good citizens for the global society.  Special events include activities such as our annual Preschool Art Show and the study of other cultures.
