Pebbles, Sand & Silt
Earth Science - volcanoes (Pompeii); river rocks (sorting, screening, sedimentation), sand, silt, clay; create sidewalk chalk; fossils (cast and study dinosaurs as fossils); sandpaper; and rocks in everyday use
Balance & Motion
Physical Science - stable balance positions using various items; spinning motion; twirling; rolling (wheels, cups, spheres), bouncing; centrifugal & centripetal forces
Insects
Life Science - study & diagram life cycles & body parts of various insects; will raise mealworms, silkworms, and Luna moth (difference between butterflies & moths), praying mantis, and crickets

Environmental Science - environment, balancing and sharing natural resources
